with YouTube that will deliver Web video directly to users’ televisions", reported today's New York Times.
Do you really want to lean back in your sofa, flick on your 50 in. Plasma, pop open your favorite beverage and spend the evening watching YouTube clips in HDTV full Dolby sense surround? It's akin to going to a restaurant like Daniel, The Fat Duck, Guy Savoy or El Bulli (can you tell I haven't had dinner?) and ordering crisps and pretzels.

The former is YouTube today, snack food. The latter are real meals served by Terrestrial/Satellite/Cable TV, Netflix, etc. Let's watch what David Eun, Google's VP Content Partnerships, does to reformulate YouTube's menu.
