This week, our colleague Terry Mak at Celestial Pictures confirmed that William Pfeiffer is leaving Celestial, the Hong Kong based movie library and distribution outfit after leading it for the past seven years. Celestial is perhaps best known for its library of '80s kung fu movies. It is owned by Malaysian cable monopoly, Astro.
William is expected to take a leadership role at a new company
with a business model spanning film and television, production and
broadcasting. This new company is understood to have backing from a leading
Hollywood independent label and several multi-national sources.
His last day of service Sunday 9 March.
